The election committee consists of five people. The chairman of the electoral commission is the vice-president. The other four members represent the various areas of applied mathematics and mechanics.
The electoral commission evaluates the nominations and draws up the list of candidates taking into account Section 7 (6) of the GAMM statutes and the number of signed nominations received. The Vice President will obtain the consent of the candidates proposed for election. He informs the Board of Directors of all suggestions received and explains the list of candidates.

Commitee “Future of GAMM”
The future committee draws up proposals for the future strategy and organization of GAMM. This includes all questions from the position of the GAMM in relation to and within other organizations, through the future of the sciences represented in the GAMM, to specific proposals for modernizing the structures and approaches of the GAMM. Continuous further development is important for a lively, successful and future-proof scientific society. Suggestions from the members are gladly taken up.

Committee for “Dr.-Klaus-Körper-Stiftung” (2024-2026)
The Dr. Klaus Körper Foundation serves to promote science and research in the fields of applied mathematics and mechanics. According to the will of the donor, in particular early-career researchers shall be fostered by the provision of funds. In this sense, the foundation has been awarding the GAMM Richard von Mises Prize since 2010 and the Dr. Klaus Körper Prizes for excellent doctoral achievements in applied mathematics and mechanics since 2013. Moreover, the foundation can provide funding for seminars and workshops of early-career researchers.

Tasks of the Committee for Equality:
Preparation of proposals to achieve the gender equality objectives:
- Increase of the percentage of women among GAMM members.
- Increase of the visibility of female role models in mathematics and in particular in mechanics.
- Launch of a general discussion on the improvement of the basic conditions of women scientists in these areas.

The email list “women-in-gamm” has been set-up in cooperation with the Committee for Equality. It addresses all female members of GAMM and aims at improving the exchange among female scientists in GAMM. Therefore, one can not only share information about scientific events or job offers, but also announce specific events/workshops for female scientist working in the fields of applied mathematics and mechanics.
